Internship Blog

The skill that I anticipate I’ll get to display first is business skills and knowledge. One question I have at the front of my mind is what is an overview of the position? Another question I have is to know what the daily schedule would be for an intern. I hope to work under a nice, understanding, and patient manger. The hard skills I hope to develop are to have the strong ability to break down hardware components and put them back together and to build a computer from scratch. The soft skills I hope to develop are how to create web sites and to know how to set up a printer. The anxieties I have about working at my internship is knowing how my team and manager will be and how I will adapt to the internship. Also if/how I’ll be judged in this community. The way I will stand out at my internship will be the same as how I stood out at Year Up. They will know that the person they meet is Mecca; I will always be reliable, trustworthy, and humble. After Year Up, I am moving to Northridge where I will be going to school for Psychology.

Winter Break Blog #3

Ending this break, I looked back on how great it was. The best thing in the world is spending time with loved ones, and that is what my weeks consisted of. I shared many bonding moments, especially with my father who is usually always working. I was able to just get out and do a lot of things I never rarely have time for anymore. I relaxed a lot and ate even more, and besides taking a break from school/work, I also took a break on working out. Another thing is I was taken on a few random family trips and even though I didnt have internet or service on my phone, the time spent with my family was all that mattered. Getting home late from my trip and low on energy, I can definately say I am glad to be going back to year up in the morning.

winter break blog #2

I've spent a lot of time with friends and family. My god mother and aunt took my god sister and I out for dinner and a few other places. It was nice because I got closer to great people. For New Years Eve, I went to a friend's gathering, then spent new years day with my god sister again. I also used some networking skills I learned at Year Up for singing, as well meeting new people.
